Over a long period of time, attentions to the studies on Zengxiuhuzhulibuyunlue(《增修互注礼部韵略》)(abbreviated as Zengyun)have not been paid enough in thefield of phonology. So far, no systematic research works on Zengyun has beenpublished. The contribution of Zengyun , which in the Chinese phonology history, andits profound influence to the later development of rhyme books are worth discussing.,On the basis of monographic study, the article manifests Zengyun from thedevelopment of Chinese phonetic history ,attempting to provide a credible material tothe research of phonetic development of Middle Ages.The rhyme books are the most direct literature material to the study of Chinesephonological history and Chinese phonetic history, especially to Chinese rhymecalligraphy history. The Chinese rhyme calligraphy history is a continual developmentseries,. The value and characteristics of each rhyme book should be placed in thisseries in order to our study. Chapter two discusses the relation between Zengyun andJiyun(《集韵》). Comparing to the other rhyme books, Zengyun is an important rhymebook which can reflect the actual phonetic of Middle Ages .The rhyme book reflects the rule and the feature of the phonetic developmentmainly through the character(切è¯ç”¨å—)changes. In Zengyun, there are 2919subordinate rhymes and 143 words-in-rhyme. And there are 3104 pieces of FanQie(å切). Chapter three manifests the change on the exhaustive analysis of FanQie: bothfollowed Chinese pronunciation historical development to evolve, and manifests thesound characteristic of Maoshi.Chapter four through the character terminology analysis of Zengyun's Qieyuxiazi(切è¯ä¸‹å—),reorganizes the rhyme system characteristic. First, in the rhymedepartment merge, Mao Huang(毛晃) merged Libuyunlue's(礼部韵略) 108 rhymes to93 rhymes, from Zengyun's now circle and words in-rhyme, we can remove 4rhymes,then that is 89 rhymes. It's phonetic notation progressive about rhyme's merged.Second, about the rhyme department segregation, Mao Juzheng thought that the Marhyme should divided into two, which can help us to look clearly of the form ofModern Chinese CheZhe rhyme. Third, Zengyun's Chongniu(é‡çº½) also manifestedthe Middle Ages pronunciation evolution characteristic.Conclusion paper partial, on the basis of multi-analysis of Zengyun'sQieyuyongzi, makes the induction summary. Mainly from two aspects summarize itscharacteristic of the sound system: the pronunciation development change and thepronunciation phenomenon of Mao's. Form the rhyme department merge, the rhymedepartment segregation, the Chongniu's analysis, we summarize its rhyme systemcharacteristic. We only attempt to provide some reference material for the study of thepronunciation development evolution of Middle Age Chinese.
