In experiment 1 and experiment 2, the effects of working memory span and text process depth on the global goal inference generation were tested, and the time course of the inferential processing was tested in 250ms and 500ms delay conditions. These experiments use 2x2x2 mixed design, response time was the main index, and longer text materials were used in both experiment 1 and experiment 2 which used lexical decision task. The subjects of high and low working memory span were selected before experiments .The result indicated: working memory span influences the processing course of global goal inference. High working memory span may accelerate processing course, while low span constrain processing course. In 500ms delay conditions, text process depth influences the processing course of global goal inference. Deep text process depth may accelerate processing course, while low level text process constrain processing course. The effects of working memory span and text process depth on the global goal inference are independent. It is need time to construct the global goal inference. In 250ms and 500ms delay conditions, high-span reader can draw global goal inference faster, while low-span reader need more time.
