On the basis of plentiful information which comes from the author's practical field work, this paper uses a series of scientific methods to describe in detail the lexicon of early dialect contact between Three Gorges immigrants and local people in Dajing Miluo Hunan Province.the methods include static description ,comparative method, statistics and so on. Based on description, the paper concludes that the lexical features of the two dialects by comparison from various angles. The paper provides original feature of the two dialects for the further investigation and study concerning their language changes in the district where the immigrants are settled .from these changes, we tries to find out the law of language contact.The paper includes the following four parts:Part one is the instruction which illustrates the background, purpose and practical meaning of topic selected, as well as a survey of research in this field, its researching methods, and some information of the co-operators.It also introduces the location, population, products, language and culture of Three Gorges immigrants coming from Shibao town Chongqing and local people in Dajing Miluo Hunan Province.At last it introduces the consonants, vowels, tones and the neutral tones of the immigrant dialect and the local dialect.Part two provides a lexical contrast table of the immigrant dialect and the local dialect which sets out nearly 2100 basic words in Putonghua which including 27 kinds covered astronomy, geography, measure word and so on.Part three makes a comparative analysis from various angles to the lexicon of the immigrant dialect and the local dialect, at first, the author make a comparison in word-formation, semantic system, and word's...
