The Multi-angled Investigation On The "X Yu (于)" Structure

The structure of "X yu (于) " with complicated character is one kind of common phenomenon. The thesis is under the direction of two theories - the theory of major triangle and the theory of minor triangle - using these combined ways as follows: form and meaning, diachronic and synchronic, static and dynamic, descriptive and interpretive to make a comprehensive investigation from various angles. And through this investigation to assist the study of "V+P+N" structure, striving to observe, describe and interpret adequately.The thesis mainly included the following parts:Introduction: to summarize the study of the present situation and significance;to limit the range of "X yu (于 ) " and select out "X yu ( 于) " accord with the study from thousands of linguistic materials;to introduce the study methods and the resources of linguistic material, etc.The first part is about the syntactic analysis of "X yu(于)" structure. First it investigates the syntactic nature and function of "yu (于 )", "X " and "X yu (于) " respectively, then investigate the "X yu (于 ) " structure as it in the sentences, at last investigate the valence of "X yu (于) " structure.The second part is about the diachronic investigation of "X yu(于) " structure. From the diachronic angle, it investigates "X yu (于) "including the grade of "X yu (于) " as vocabulary, depicting thedevelopment traces of "X yu (于 ) " and trying to explain itsgrammaticalization mechanism and motivation.In the third part, the prosodic features of "X yu (于) " structure isanalyzed. Through the theory of prosodic syntaxes, it analyzes the "X yu(于) " structure including the prosodic situation of "X yu (于) " whileX as monosyllable, X as disyllable and X as polysyllable and the superabundant phenomenon of " yu (T ) ".The fourth part is about the semantic analysis of "X yu (^f) " structure. It mainly investigates the semantic sort of the object and the semantic direction of "X yu (T ) " structure.The fifth part is about the pragmatic analysis and the cognitive interpretation of "Xyu (^ ) " structure. First it investigates the influence of pragmatic frequency on "X yu (-^p) " structure and "X yu (^) " structure impacts on the principle of typically manifested sentence focus, then describes the formation and development of cognitive psychology basis of "X yu (^ ) " structure successively using some cognitive theories such as chunking psychology, iconic principles, abstract principles, etc.The sixth part is about "V+P+N" structure. It first summarizes some viewpoints of the study of "V+P+N" structure;then predicts the developing tendency of "V+P+N" structure through the investigation of "X yu ( if ) " structure according to the prototype theory;and last uses the dialect materials to provide the evidence for our viewpoints.Conclusion: to sum up the investigation of this thesis, it points out that "X yu( ^ )" structure is one kind of common phenomenon in Modern Chinese, which not only has its unique manifestation in many fields like syntax, semantics and pragmatics, but also has the solid cognitive psychology basis and the existed foundation supported both by the Archaic Chinese and the dialects in Modern Chinese, so it is also the most quickly developed typical member in the "V+P+N" structure.
