Research On The Kernel Words Assosiated Colour

The researches on kernel words plays an important role in the studes of Lexical History in Chinese and Sino-Tibetan Historical Languistics.This Paper researched on the five kernel words associated Colour. The paper made up of seven chapters. The first chapter was the introduction; The second to sixth chapters were about the research of Black(黑),White(白),Red(红),Yellow(黄)and Green(绿)in Chinese, in the light of historical and comparative theories and methodologies, and the early sound and etymon of these five kernel words were discussed . The conclusion was given at the seventh chapter. The early form of the five kernel words of Chinese was reconstructed and the combination of word families was done with the utility of letter and phonetic knowledge. Meanwhile, author attempted to integrate the theory of Chinese and Sino-Tibetan Comparative Languistics, Historical Languistics and Semantics to do research on a more broad linguistic enviroment with the consideration of anthropology and archeology. In particularly, Semantic Field was constructed firstly, then the combination of word families was done, and then the comparison with national language was done, finally the conclusion was made. This paper have provided some valuable materials for the Lexical History in Chinese and Sino-Tibetan Historical Languistics, it also have done certain exploration in the research approach.
