The development of Children Literature in China has closely paralleled to that of the child-centered consideration. In the banner of that consideration, Chinese children literature has achieved its unprecedented prosperity in New Period. With the basic point of the idea of child-centered, this dissertation expounds the children literature of New Period synthetically by probing into the thematic tendency, the aesthetic creation and the acceptance of literature. The dissertation comprises of five parts as follows:The introductory part simply discusses the formation, transmission and influence of the idea of child-centered in Chinese Children Literature, and points out the aims of our research after analyzing others literature production in this field.The first chapter demonstrates the vivid and profound literature themes in accordance with the lifestyle and mentality of children. In the first instance, the authors pay much attention to the freeness and impishness of children's characteristic, the resistance of getting away from the family and school, and the aspiration of getting comprehension from others. In the next place, with the child-centered consideration the authors are prone to show their childhood which full of the goodliness of human nature, the desolation from tribulation, and the close relationship between human and propagations. Finally, the children literature in New Period rehearses the sanity and adamancy of our nation's future, by expressing the mightiness, independence and extraversion of children.The second chapter is focused on the spirit of playing in the aesthetic works, which reflect the idea of the nature, happiness and development of children's characters. Our demonstrations are mainly onrevel and illusion of the spirit of playing, by analyzing the figure, the scenario and the depiction in accordance with the works.The third chapter has mainly discussed the variety and multiplicity of children's literature based on different appreciatory abilities and different accepting psychologies. From the point of artistic technique, the children literature in New Period inheriting the realism and romanticism of our literary tradition, and at the same time using modernism for reference. On the aspect of artistic style, this dissertation mainly discusses the suave and energetic, the traditional and modern, the rural and urban.The conclusive part exposes the literary limitation of Children Literature in China, and makes a simple prospect over the future of the literature creating as well.
