| In the early 1920s,as an important cultural event in the "New Culture Movement",the "Children’s Literature Movement" initiated by Zheng Zhenduo,Ye Shengtao,Zhao Jingshen and other members of Literary Research Society was of great significance to the discovery and invention of the concept of Modern Chinese Children and the emergence and development of modern children’s literature.Literary events in the "Children’s Literature Movement",including the publication of children’s periodicals,public discussions and lectures on children’s literature themes,and the translation of children’s literature works,are all important components of the landscape of children’s literature in the 1920s.Focusing on the "Children’s Literature Movement" initiated by Literary Research Society,this thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter,"The Origin of the Children’s Literature Movement",begins with the children’s discourse space opened with the instrumental intention of "saving the nation" in the late Qing Dynasty and discusses the enlightenment discourse of the New Culture Movement that really contributed to the germination of the concept of children."New Culture Movement"provided unprecedented historical and cultural conditions for the launch of the "Children’s Literature Movement".The second chapter,"Concept Guide:Children-oriented Concept",discusses the differences,divergences and changes of "Children-oriented Concept" among the theoretical founders,initiators and major participants of the "Children’s Literature Movement" in Literature Research Society.The third chapter,"The Connotation of the Movement:Modern Aesthetics and Modern Education in Children’s Literature",explores the overall connotation characteristics of the "Children’s Literature Movement".Firstly,this chapter discusses two kinds of references for literary practice in the "Children’s Literature Movement" formed by the traditional retrospect of folk cultural resources and the new inspiration of foreign children’s literature.Secondly,from two aspects of literature view and creative practice of the "Children’s Literature Movement",this chapter explores the relationship between literary aesthetic function and educational function of children’s literature.The fourth chapter,"The Stylistic Creation of the Children’s Literature Movement",explores the pioneering stylistic contributions of the "Children’s Literature Movement",including literary fairy tales,modern children’s plays and modern children’s poems and novels. |
