The Literature Value Of Mozi

The book Mozi ,is a classic book of the total sets, and one of the pre-Qin thinkers' important academic works. This article is tried exploring the literary character of the book Mozi that the predecessors less involved. The full text is dividedinto five chapters.The part of prolegomenon has mainly teased the research of the Mozi during the twentieth century.The first chapter on the Mozi has discourses upon the innovation on the essays of pre-Qin, especially on the styles of exposition and argumentation. First the Mozi had radicated the basic theory on the styles of exposition and argumentation.Second the Mozi had created a basic structure and methods of argumentation. Finally the chapter has been discussed the structural integrity and the religious characteristics of the Mozi.Chapter III has been explored the myths and legends of the Mozi which had been less concerned with. (1) the myths and legends of the Mozi has been divided into four categories: historical figures legends, war myths, ghosts and gods legends and folk legend describes. (2)The myths and legends of the Mozi were full of rational color and the feelings of the authors, and expanded the scope of myths and legends. In addition to, the Mozi had also transformed the traditional myths and legends. (3) the influence of the myths and legends of the Mozi, and it provided rich materials and models for future generations' literary creations , and it was of far-reaching significance.Chapter IV has analyzed the figures image on the Mozi. The analyses focused on the image of Mo-tse and its disciples,and the articles'major achievements on the describing the images of the piece of Gong Shu.Chapter V has analyzed linguistic characteristics of the Mozi from language style and rhetoric feature.
