In order to clarify the relationship among mathematics study interest, objectives, strategies and achievements, 223 Senior One students from Shiyan Middle School, Siping City, Jilin Province, were questioned. The results are as following:(1)Performance- approach goal and mastery goal are directly proportional to the above three kinds of strategies. performance-avoidance goal has great relevance to superficial strategy, but less relevance to elaboral strategy and metacognitive strategy.(2)The level of interest in mathematics has great relevance to performance- approach goal and mastery goal, but has less relevance to performance-avoidance goal.(3)The level of interest in mathematics is directly proportional to superficial strategy, elaboral strategy and metacognitive strategy.(4)The level of interest in mathematics, performance- approach goal, mastery goal, performance-avoidance goal, elaboral strategy and metacognitive strategy are directly proportional to mathematics achievements.(5)Boys and girls differ in the level of interest in mathematics, mastery goal and metacognitive strategy. Less differences exist in performance- approach goal and performance-avoidance goal between boys and girls. No differences exist in superficial strategy and elaboral strategy between them.
