The research on language learning strategies began in the mid 1970s, and now has been a good harvest. Many of these researches focus on factors that influence the use of learning strategies, such as beliefs, age, motivation, settings, etc. Among these factors, personality affecting learners' choice and utilization of learning strategies has not drawn enough attention from researchers; few papers are concerned about the relationship between learners' personality like extroversion-introversion and the utilization of language learning strategies both abroad and at home; furthermore, most quantitative studies on language learning strategy utilization at home take university students as their subjects. It is obvious that language learners in universities and high schools are in quite different language conditions.
