This thesis is a eight-chapter phonological report on dialect in town of Zhendu in Shanggao county, Jiangxi province. It gives a detailed description of the phonologicalsystem——the initials, finals and tones as well as its syllable structure, the syllabary, the syllabary of homophones. Moreover, it makes a comprehensive observation on Zhendu dialect from the diachronic perspective: through comparison with the phonology of Guangyun, it expounds the development trace and the internal laws of Zhendu dialect phonology. Furthermore, through comparing with some other typical Gan-Hakak dialects, it summarizes the similarities and differences between them, then sums up some phonological features of Zhendu dialect. Besides, this thesis also approaches a tentative analysis of some special topics, as well as the tone sandhi and stress phenomena of disyllabic units in this dialect so that the readers can have a better understanding of the features in Zhendu Phonology.
