With China's joining the World Trade Organization, we need to increase the provision of foreign language teaching (FLT), especially English teaching, so that local employees can be equipped with the appropriate levels of language proficiency to perform the jobs required of them.The challenges for the English teaching field would be to train as many fluent speakers as possible in the most effective manner, however, traditional English teaching which is textbook adding vocabulary and grammar ignoring listening and speaking for a long period makes students language learning and application separate totally. Film teaching offers a wide, active and vivid vision situation, and enables students to be personally on the scene. Consequently, this teachmg method motivates students to the fullest extent and enlarges teachers' teaching space simultaneously. During the procedure of language scene teaching, when they are watching and listening to films, they contact with language material closely, and increase their listening and speaking ability with the help of series of teaching actions such as discussion, question, repetition, performance and etc.In order to justify the application of this method from theoretical point of view, the author first gives a brief introduction to some related theories: the Input and Output Hypothesis, the Affective Filter Hypothesis, Motivation...
