We have investigated the brain wave and autonomic nervous response patternsof basic emotions. This study, elicited sadness, happiness as well as a neutral statement by film segments, record every physiologic measure including heard rate respiration rate, respiration depth, skin conductance, skin temperature, blood oxygen saturation, electrocardiogram and electroencephalogram. The main results and conclusions are: respiration rate was influenced in evidence by emotion. Both sadness and happiness have aroused the heightener of respiration rate. Respiration depth was influenced in evidence by gender effect. The Respiration depth of female subjects were deeper than male subjects' when have seeing every film segment. Skin conductance was influenced in evidence by emotion and gender effect. Sadness aroused the heightener of Skin conductance, and the skin conductance of male subjects were higher than male when have seeing every film segment. Blood oxygen saturation was influenced in evidence by gender effect. The blood oxygen saturation of female subjects were deeper than male subjects' when have seeing every film segment. Sorrowful film have activated more alfa wave in frontal area, amused film have activated more alfa wave in occipital area, in addition different emotions have influenced waves that are different frequency in different cerebra areas.
