| During the period of Anti-Japanese War and China's War of Liberation, the Communist Party of China established the new marriage system in base areas, which took the equality between the genders and the freedom of marriage as the characteristic. This system attacked patriarchy in countryside, initially shook the foundation of old marriage system, improved women's social status in base areas, and accumulated the experience which would contribute to the reform of marriage system. It was regarded as important social reform in base area by the Communist Party of China.Up to now, scholars have focused on marriage reform in base areas from the perspective of research its policy, legal system and the social vicissitude, and have made great achievement in its field. However, the multiple researches about women have not been exposed. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the marriage transformation in base areas comprehensively and systematically with feminism theory. The thesis takes Jin Ji Lu Yu base as the research object, analyzes the massive reference material and the other literature data bases, introduces the feminine angle of view, examines the policy, enforcement institution, marriage and divorce, and exposes female action and experience ignored in history. Definitely the research will broaden the research coverage and shed light on the field.This thesis is divided into five chapters. First chapter elaborates the evolution of marriage policy in base-area. Besides affirming the function base marriage reformation to women's liberation, the thesis has paid attention to the relation between gender and the social class, as well as nationality. The gender belongs to social class and national interest, when they are in conflict, the marriage policy which have aimed to protect women's benefit will make a corresponding adjustment to adapt to the situation. Second chapter elaborate the enforcement institution of marriage policy, which include two parts, namely, male chauvinism in base-level authority and court, and the dual role of the Women Federation in defending women's rights. Chapter Three, Fourand Five, inspect women's marriage, divorce and remarriage, and point out the hope that marriage vicissitude brought for women's marriage and the difference between ideal marriage and reality .Based on these studies, the communist part of China marriage vicissitude in the base areas did not overthrow patriarchy and liberate women thoroughly but was a compromise product struggle by struggle with patriarchy and rural custom. |
