Survey On Psychological Health And Analysis On Factors Of Students In Taiyuan Health School

objective:Learn the students'situation and features on psychological health in Taiyuan Health School. And by analyzing the survey about their spirit situation and their social background.discuss the difierent social psychological factors that have an effct on our students'mental health.Method:From December,2004 to January,2005,2502 students in Taiyuan Health School complete according to the School SCL-90(Symptom Check List 90,SCL.90) and EPQ(Eysenck personality questionnaire)on their mental health and other relative factors Results:1.Psychology Barrier Detectable RateThe number of the students whose SCL-90 average scores are more than 3 points is 649.and the rate is 27.7%.The rate is obviously difierent from each other according to some aspects,such as their sex,the place where they were born and where they grew up, the fact whether they are only child.For the boys,the rate is more than girls (χ~2=3.919.P<0.05).And the students who come from difierent areas are also difierent according to the data.Those who come from Datong City owns the highest rate(37.7%), while the 10west ones are from Yangquan.Meanwhile.the rate of the students who come from rural areas is much higher than that of the students from urban areas(χ~2=31.728.P <0.001).And for the students who are not only child,their rate is higher than those who are(χ~2=19.611,P<0.001).Besides,the students,who were born normally and successfully,and then grew up in healthy condition,have lower rate than those who were not (P<0.05).And the rate of the students who have ever been in kindergarten is also lower than the ones who didn't go to school(χ~2=3.966,P<0.05).The more interests they have,the lower they have the chance to have the Psychology barrier(χ~2=7.899.P<0.05). And the more highly they value themselves,the lower the rate to happen is(χ~2=22.110, P<0.001).If the healthy condition of their parents is worse.the number of being ill is more,and the illness is much worse,it will have heavier efrect on their children.and the chance for them to have the psychology barrier is higher (P<0.001).Well,if the students can develop a good relationship with their parents,the rate will become lower(χ~2=59.020,P<0.001).While the students who are diffident,instable and easily nervous have the higher rate to have the psychology barrier.2.Types ofthe Psychology Barrier on students.The rate of boys who have the symptom of obsession and lunacy is higher than girls(P<0.01).And in different grades,the students in first grade have an obviously higher chance to feel horrible(P<0.05).3.SCL-90 average scores.Compared with the average scores of all the youth in our country, the score is much higher(P<0.001).And compared with the middle school students over the country, the average scores on summarization,obsession,blues,nervousness,antagonize,horror and lunacy are much lower than them (P<0.05).while the scores on sensitivity of interpersonal relationship and crankiness are much higher.
