With the rapid development of economy,science and technology in the 21st centurythe times,the requirement on young people have become more sophisticated.tThe academic task of students are getting heavier,and the pressure from their parents,schools and society is increasing day by day.According to Erickson's theory of personality development,junior high school students are in an important period of self-identity formation.With the environment for learning and living changing,Their physical and psychological are getting more mature,resulting in many different characteristics different from other periods.Heavy academic tasks and excessive academic pressure will bring anxiety,depression,emotional imbalance and maladju-stment to the mental health of the students.At the same time,many scholars have gradually found that psychological capital has implications not only in clinical medicine and on-job employee,it also has important research meaning in middle school students.With the development of positive psychology,the dual-factor mental health model is proposed after reflecting the deficiency of the traditional mental health model,which has the value of in-depth discussion.In this study a questionnaire survey was conducted among 559 students of two high sc-hool in wuhan city.The scale includes the "positive psychological capital questionnaire","middle school students' academic pressure source","life satisfaction scale" and "adolescent self rating scale".This paper discusses the relationship between psychological capital,academic pressure and mental health status of middle school students with the dual-factor mental health model,and puts forward relevant suggestions from data analysis results.The analysis results are as follows:1.The academic pressure of middle school students is at middle or low levels.There is significant differences in grades and no significant difference in gender.2.The psychological capital of middle school students is in the middle level.There is significant difference in gender,and no significant difference in grade.3.Middle school students are divided into four groups according to the Dual-Factor Model of Psychological health(DFM),and the proportion of the groups is consistent with previous domestic studies.There is significant differences among the four groups in psychological capital,academic pressure and dimension.4.The psychological capital and academic pressure have significant correlation with the life satisfaction and depression index in mental health level.5.Psychological capital has significant regulation effect in beacademic pressure and depression,but not in academic pressure and life satisfaction.Psychological capital plays an effective risk buffer between academic pressure and depression.Psychological capital plays an effective risk buffer between academic pressure and depression.Through the intervention of psychological capital,the impact of academic pressure on depression can be regulated.
