The smooth and steady life of Stefan Zweig's early years confused his identity recognization. Along with the society's turbulence and the appearance of identity crisis, the self-identity consciousness of Stefan Zweig began to wake. Stefan Zweig never stop trying to relieve from the identity crisis by affirming humanitarianism and establishing the dream of ideal European, however, he finally failed because of the limitation of the quomodo he took. The thesis probed into the self-identity problems of Stefan Zweig with four parts: the confusion of the self-identity in his early years, the rouse of self-identity crisis consciousness, relieve the self-identity crisis and affirm his status, the evaluation to his attempt for self-identity. By the exploration of self-identity, not only can we understand Stefan Zweig and his works much more further, but also can have some elicitation to the prevalent identity crisis in modern society.
