Stefan Zweig was a famous Austrian Jewish writer. In the literature creation process, Stefan Zweig not only described substantial psychological states, behaviors, mode of thinking, and situation changes, but also looked at the game on heterogeneous culture with his unique literary creation insight, which resulted in the integration of the special element of the game on heterogeneous culture in the works of Stefan Zweig. Seen from the view of comparative literature imagology, such game on heterogeneous culture presented the basic elements in imagology, and injected the irreplaceable research value due to the uniqueness of creation. Seen from the imagology of comparative literature, the achievements of the study on the works created by Stefan Zweig shall still be perfected, which bring s the premise and necessity for the study.The study mainly starts from the perspective of comparative literature imagology and probes into the works created by Stefan Zweig. Moreover, it interprets the oriental image involved extensively in works, aiming to explore the motivation of Stefan Zweig of creating oriental image based on the multi-identity background, and supplement previous studies on Zweig. The paper consists of six parts, including the introduction, four chapters of the main body and conclusion.In the first chapter, it is the introduction, including the exploration into the research status of Zweig, as well as the comparison and analysis of academic studies on the oriental image in works created by Zweig. In the second chapter, it mainly starts from the other oriental image in works of Zweig, and analyzes the typical oriental images in different stages, countries and regions. Specifically, it includes the analysis of the Chinese image, Indian image, Southeast Asian image, and Jewish image, illustration of the aggressive image of Turkey in Middle Ages, enumeration and analysis of the backward eastern countries in modern times, which displays the other oriental image distinct from different orient nations, countries and regions. In the third chapter, it mainly starts from the perspective of comparative literature imagology, explores the relationship between the oriental image in works of Zweig and social collective imagination, emphasizes on the analysis of the mirroring need of the social collective and exploration in the collective production motivation, and illustrates the root of social collective imagination. In the fourth chapter, it mainly explores the desire projection of Zweig, studies the motivation of Zweig in the production of oriental image in the multi-identity context, and illustrates that Zweig was not only confined by the social collective atmosphere, but also maintained the complicated desire and appeal of the Jewish nation. In the fifth chapter, it deeply illustrates the concern of Zweig, as a multi-identity writer, for the Jewish nation and attachment to Europe. Especially, it also carries out the dialectic consideration of the humanitarian spirit advocated in the afterlife of Zweig, and reflects on the world spirit behind the production of oriental image, as well as the cultural identity of Zweig as a Cosmopolitan that shall be discriminated and judged.The conclusion summarizes the unique existence of oriental image in the works of Zweig, especially the oriental image produced by Zweig with multi-identity context, such as the Jewish descent, growth in Austria, Cosmopolitan, etc. It can supplement the study on the oriental image of works created by Zweig, and integrate the psychological research and novel of Zweig, for deepening the achievements in the study on Zweig.
