Resisting And Keeping Watch: An Entire Analysis On Female Consciousness Of Zhang Jie's Novels

Zhang Jie is an outstanding and unique female writer in the period of Chinese contemporary literature. Paying close attention to the feminine destiny, expressing the feminine thoughts and feelings, demonstrating the feminine sexual misery and the mental predicament, it is one of the centers of what Zhang Jie has conveyed in her texts all along which displayed the distinct female consciousness.This paper attempts to give an entire and macroscopic analysis on Zhang Jie's female consciousness in her novels to inquire the manifestation of the female consciousness and the deep reasons of its formation, and intends to reflect the feminine culture situation which has the Chinese characteristic and to reveal the difficult liberation process and spirit redeem course of Chinese female, and thus promotes to construct the culture of"the pair of natural harmonium".Besides the conclusion, this paper is consisted of five chapters. Chapter one is Introduction. This part outlined the background and the present situation about the studying of Zhang Jie, and discriminated the concepts of"female consciousness","feminism","gender"and so on,and combed the production, development and connotation of female consciousness in Chinese literature, and summarized the"resisting and keeping watch"female consciousness style of Zhang Jie's novels. Chapter two is Female sex consciousness——drinking to the women. Zhang Jie combined the awareness of"women"and that of the"person", and presented the confession and thought about female sex, bravely researched the essence of love and marriage as well as the "non-father-text" female narration style in her texts. Chapter three is Female self consciousness——Mulan's Journey. Zhang Jie exposed the women's"no-word"history and"the other"statue in thousands of years. In her novels she sends out the rebellious women's resistance appealing,profoundly analyzed the reasons why women are kept in an unfair statue as"the second sex"or"object"from the aspects of society and historical stratification,but also from the aspect of women themselves. She overturned the culture of the patriarchy or the paternal-centralism which have the"dual oppression"on feminine body and spirit through the"dual writing"of female writer.
