Study On The Vocabulary Of Hakka Dialects In Meizhou

The Hakka dialect is one of the seven main Chinese dialects. The Hakkadialect in Meizhou is regarded as the representative of Hakkas dialectby most scholars. After investigation on the vocabulary ofMeixian,Jiaoling, Pingyuan, Wuhua, Xingning,Dabu and Fengshun;thethesis would comprehensively describe the general features of thevocabulary of every country towns'Hakka dialect in Meizhou and wouldthoroughly compare and analyze the interior differences of vocabularyof the Hakka dialect in Meizhou by statistics to explore the causes ofthe difference. Specially to the peripheral various counties vocabularywhich borders onwith the outside provinces and cities carries on theinspection and the analysis. Because these county cities perhaps trafficjam or in some county cities communicate with the outside economicalcultural more often, these county cities vocabulary respectively haveeach characteristic. Completes the Meizhou Hakka dialect vocabularyinterior differences the comparison research is helpful to grasps theHakka dialect well the individuality characteristic.This can furtherthe development of the Hakkas dialect vocabulary research. At the sametime, this thesis also provides evidences for the contacts of theCantonese and the Hakka dialect or evidences for the contacts of theMin dialect and the Hakka dialect.
