Yan Lianke is one of the fruitful writers in the contemporary literary arena .Since he published "Small village and Creek" at the end of the 80's ,he has continuously created "YaoGou series", "characters in all walks of life in Dongjing"and "peace sreies".With his "Palou series "since the middle of 1990s,he has brought huge shocking to the literary arena.20 years passed, Yan Lianke has founded a unique regional literature world - the Palou mountain in west Henan leaves readers a deep impression.Generally speaking, Yan Lianke is a regional literature writer. His works, except "characters in all walks of life in Dongjing" taking the local chronicle as the source material creation, basically may belong to the regional literature category. His troop's literary work, shows loving care for the farmer serviceman's survival condition. In broad criterion, it also may be regarded as writer's deepening to local subject.But, because of the obvious difference in the space and time background between his troops work and regional literature, we will not take the "peace series" as the object in this paper.In his regional literature work, misery is always the penetration subject.Yan Lianke gazes the material aspect in the local reality. And also he shows sympathy to local society and human's suffering in his writing. This article take misery writing as the clue to test what suffering Yan Lianke wrote, how to care the misery and people in misery, how he describes misery, the signicance and difficulties to do so, and so on.First, the first part "preclude" gives the limitation to regional literature, briefly introduce Yah Lianke creation course, points out that the misery and the people in misery is always that what he cares for.In the first chapter, we mainly discuss what kind of misery Yan Lianke wrote, respectively talk about the suffering under control of local society power and in what in existence. And inspect it by putting it into the source of misery subject of Chinese contemporary regional literature.In the second chapter, we teat the suffered people in Yan Lianke's novel as the breakthrough point, analyze the life reality that the characters face.Therefore, they produce the dream, subsequently resists the misery. However, they no matter what price they pays, it dooms that they will fail in the end. Through the mode "misery-rebel-fail",Yan Lianke discovers the misery's universality and essential.In the third chapter, it mainly focuses on yan's skill of presenting the misery, pointes out yan's way of utilizing extreme language and the writing way, so he construct a mysterious world: his spiritual land--mountain Palou.The conclusion part summarized Yan Lianke's unique way of describing literature misery. He establishes a new school to source misery writing in the contemporary literary arena. However, in order to maintain the misery purely, Yan Lianke has constructed one world which seals up in the space and time. In a way, it sets the dilemma in his writing.
