This thesis mainly focuses on the realistic problems existing in the interpretation teaching and training. Or in detail, it is about the missing or mis-operation of the interpreting-oriented public speaking course in interpreting teaching and training. Interpreting science as a newly developed research is expected to have promising future and invaluable worth, yet there are less fruits of that discipline right now compared with other more mature disciplines. Anyhow the progress and speed of its development has been eye catching. The author tries to explain and testify the application of public speaking's techniques and strategies theoretically and practically in the process of interpretation communication. Through which the author hopes that the awareness and interests of learning and mastering the art of public speechmaking as a necessity and beneficial project in interpretation teaching criteria could be awaken and aroused. With better communicative competence brought by the study of public speaking, the interpreter trainees can lay a much more solid foundation for their careers in the future.The thesis has adopted descriptive mode of research by borrowing experience from other disciplines like the science of communication and the psychology science, by carrying out surveys and other scientific research methods. Through the application of public speaking's techniques and strategies theoretically and practically in the process of interpretation communication, it can be very beneficial to the interpreting learners, who are expected to have better performance and gain better response from their clients.
