Female Connotation Analysis In The Modern Popular Song Lyrics

Because of the epidemic and popularity ,the popular song lyrics contain lots of social mentality,and reflect various social and culture value.There is complex gender ideology and attitude in the pop song lyrics.So we could search for the modern female discourse,and find out the modern female's points of view from the song lyrics.It is obviously practical and realistic,also interesting.There are four parts in this thesis.The part of Introduction defines the concept of"popular music", expounds the feature of the pop song lyrics,and introduces the value and actuality of the research in popular music.It also elaborates that the thesis would use the related Feminism theory to analyze the lyric texts under a gender vision ,and discusses the particular gender ideology and aesthetic perspective in a positive way.The thesis tries to make some contribution to the research of pop song.Chapter one is the analysis of female images on the Love topic in the lyric texts.This part selects four special kinds of female images from the"social"context,includes: self-determination and independent female image, introspective and tolerated female image, breaking and flying female image,and love- suspected female image.This part also analyzes the female roles,emotion,behaviors ,value opinions and gender ideology.Chapter two searches female's points of view from the other topics of song lyrics.Based on the evidence includes female's emphasis on independence and self-determination, positive estimation on female's gender ideology and value, recognition of life taste and qualit mental need of career and friendship,we strongly recognize that modern female are quite different from the traditional female who followed the old morality criterions.In the part of conclusion,there is a remained question.In the cultural phenomenons with commercial consideration,the gender ideology revealed from the lyrics would be false and materialize to some extent.Then between the female discourse in the lyrics and the real gender situation, is there a gap or not?If there is a gap,how wide is that?Also ,this part indicates that concerned research would continue even the thesis is completed.
