| Personality is a stable, habitualized thinking mode and behavioral style, which prevails in a person's entire psychology and can be considered as a whole portrayal of one's uniqueness. As leaders of a harmonious society, personality of Chinese Communist Party and gowernmental cadres is especially important for it will permeate through their leading activities; affect their behavioral style and decision-making and determine their final achievements as well. Researches show that personality has a specific connection with management. Personality assessment of Chinese Communist Party and gowernmental cadres conducted with mature personality test thus can offer some evidence to personnel arrangement and personnel adjustment.Present researches concerned with personality of Chinese Communist Party and gowernmental cadres generally employ Cattell's 16 Personality Factor Inventory (16PF) as their research instrument. This inventory has three Chinese editions, Liu Yonghe's edition sampled in Hong Kong, Li Shaoyi's edition sampled in Liaoning Province and Dai Zhongheng and Zhu Beili's edition mainly sampled among college students.
