Liushou children's problem is now a hot topic to study by social public and researchers and studies are mainly focus on the mental health, life condition and behavior habits, but specific psychological intervention study specifically for the children is still very rare. The period of junior high school is in the treason of psychological development, and their self-awareness is very immature and self-evaluation is rather extreme, or too inferiority, or too own. If they can spend this critical period and establish self-identity, play a very important role for their future psychological development.The study procedures are as following: from theoretical analysis to questionnaire research to intervention groups to the result. Based on interviews, questionnaire survey, educational experiment, data analysis and other methods, pass analysis method to find out the development characteristics and impact factors of liushou children's self-esteem. To test Self-awareness groups training for selected subjects is to hope that groups training played a good role in the self-esteem development of liushou junior high school students, and offered reference for mental health education in the future. Based on comprehensive analysis of these studying results, this paper gets the following conclusions:(1) The self-esteem level of liushou junior high school students is significantly different from the general junior high school students, and their self-esteem level is significantly lower than the general junior high school students.(2) The self-esteem level of liushou junior high school students is significantly different in gender or grade variables. Female students' self-esteem level is significantly lower than male students', the grade three student's self-esteem level is significantly lower than the grade one and grade two students, the difference between the grade one and grade two is not remarkable. At the same time, the junior high student's self-esteem level also exists the significant difference in the family education way, the self-esteem level of the student living in the democracy family level is significantly higher than several other kinds of family type., The self-esteem level of liushou junior high school students is not significantly different in parent-absent situation, who to live with variables,(3) The self-esteem development of liushou junior high school students has a higher correlation to self-awareness, social support and response to the problem. Moreover, the self-awareness has the greatest impact on the self-esteem development, followed by the ERA factor, social support, problem-solving factor, back-off factor.(4) Self-awareness group counseling plays a very good role on the self-esteem development of liushou junior high school students, and helps liushou junior high school students improve self-esteem level.In a word, through the self-awareness group counseling intervention, the self-esteem level of liushou junior high school students has increased, which shows the intervention can be used for liushou children as an effective form of self-education.
