A Comparative Study About The Developmental Status Of China And The West's Enviorenmental Ethics

As a new subject, Environmental Ethics is increasingly concerned by both domestic and foreign scholars. This thesis attempts to have a clear and precise gasp about Environmental Ethics via the history of western and ancient Chinese environmental ethics thought.We have profound ancient cultures. Long time ago, abundant environmental ethic thought was generated in Warring States Period. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism all have some theory and idea about environmental ethics. Those theory and idea provides theorist support for the contemporary research of China.This thesis conducts a contradistinctive research about western and China's environmental ethics in ideological principle, developmental extend and reverent social effects. And according to the analysis of China and West's reverent research, this thesis summarizes out the reason which causes the differences between China and the West's environmental ethics development through historical condition, economic foundation, and cultural background.By the way of contradictive research about China and the West's reverent research, this thesis has significant value in our country's environmental ethic education, development tendency, and socialist modernization construction.This thesis falls into basically five parts: the first episode narrates the development of environmental ethics development of ancient and temporary China. The third part mainly is the comparative study about China and the West's Environmental ethic research and anal sizes the reasons which causes the two's differences. And the final part of this thesis draws a conclusion and delivers retrospections.
