His works are well known in the world. They even caused the "Haruki Murakami phenomenon."Literature has an inextricable relationship with Culture. Haruki Murakami's novels have been influenced by western post-modern literary and culture. He focuses on the people of Japanese post-industrial times, especially young people. He shows the alienation of people and their unique life style in the novels with his absurd tone. It reflected the spirit of post-modernism art. He also shows the symbolization and non-rules of the post-modernist art, and so on. His novels have characteristics of public literature and elite literary .He uses his unique simplicity, humor and rhythm of the language to tell us stories of the post-modern, which are full of reality and fiction.This thesis introduces Murakami's life, his creative experience. It also studies on Haruki Murakami's novels under Japan's post-modernism context. I hope it may be better to understand his novels. |
