The famous Japanese contemporary writer Haruki Murakami has written 11 novels and 8 short story collections, since he started writing novels in 1979. With reading and translating of foreign literatures he accepted the writing thoughts and skills of them, and he was born in Japan, all his works reflected the Japanese culture and spirits: the conception of the blending of nature and human being, the concept of the sorrow for nature, the idea about life and death, opening sex idea. He used the Japanese traditional literature methods in his novels, expressing people's living experiences and feelings in detail. He is living in Japanese post-modern society, and focusing on the feeling of solitude, inanity and lose of the people's (especially the young) of the post-industrial time. He adopted the post-modernism writing skills in his novels such as anti-magnificent, fragmented unrealistic and so on. He told the post-modern time stories full of reality and imaginary and tried to find a new meaningful life style for the people in the post-industrial society in his novels. Haruki Murakami's novels with the traditional and post-modern characteristics showed the Japanese people's unique style in the special era. Both of the characters are harmony integrated. The post-modernism is with Japanese tradition, and the traditions are changing traditions with the influence of the post-modern in the times. The integration made his writing style unique and let him be a famous writer widely welcomed by readers around the world.This paper has five parts to discuss the integration of traditionalism and post-modernism factors in Haruki Murakami's novels. The first one presents his living, the writing process and translation of his works. The second one discusses the Japanese traditional spirits and writing skills in his novels. The third one discusses the post-modernism in his text and exhibits features of his writings. The fourth one concludes the traditionalism and post-modernism how to integrate with each other in his novels.
