English learning is a complicated process. It is involved in some factors,which affects English achievements of learners directly. Especially the factors of English learners are the most immediate and important ones. This article studies the influence of non-intellectual elements on middle school students in Yan Bian Korea Autonomous Prefectures. It mainly deals with the gender differences such as learning motives, interests, convictions and tactics. These differences have a direct dffection on English learning.In English teaching gender differences exist objectively. There are many researches on them in the world. But in Yan Bian Korea Autonomous Prefectures it has always followed the sameeducation pattern which doesn't distinct from gender difference. Teachers don't study the individual psychological differences but take the whole teaching method seriously only. With the previous studies, the theory of educational psychology and the theory of English education in middle school I surveyed ten Korean middle school.703 students answered the papers. The contents of the investigation include the individual backgroundings, motives, convictions and tactics.This thesis is divided into three chapters. Chapter One is introduction that deals with the research aim, research significances, the students puo in the world, research methods and outlines. Chapter Two I analyse the xurveyed statistics by SPSS11.5 of Korean students to find out the differences comparing Chinese students. At the same time I get the causes of their differences. Chapter Tree I put forward to some teaching strategies which can solve the Korean gender differences in English. Finally I come to the following conclusions by the ananlyses of motives,interests,convictions and tactics of Korean students:I. It exists remarkable differences in English achievements between Koreanstudents and Chinese students.II. Male and female Korean students aren't different from learning motives, butdifferent from achievement motive. The gender differences of interests fromKorean students are more outstanding than Chinese students. The genderdifferences of convictions from Korean students are more outstanding thanChinese students.III. There aren't differences from Korean girl and boy students in learning tactics. Their tactics are not controlled by themselves. Chinese students are not the same. Remarkable differences in learning tactics exist between boys and girls.As a result of motives, interests, and convictions, English achievements are seriously different. So I give some methods to solve these issues.I. Set up right attitude towards gender difference, and enhance the instruction oflearning strategies.II. Conduct different teaching methods agreeing on gender differences.III. The detailed solutions: Straight English study manner, firm English studyconfidence; Stimulate the students' incentives of the Korean Minority; Carry out all kinds of richly activity, stimulate the students' interests of the Korean Minority; Strengthen English teachers training in Korean Minority middle school in Yanbian Korea Autonomous prefecture.
