The traditional intelligences theory regards language and mathematical logic as the core of intelligence which exist in an integrated way. And the"grade-oriented"evaluation method is still adopted on vocational school students by the public, which is not only unfair but also unscientific. It is a system that only stresses knowledge, theory, intelligent education, punishment, and restraint, but neglects practice, skills, moral training, reward, inspiration and encouragement.The theory of multiple intelligences, which is put forward by Howard Gardner, a psychologist, professor in cognition and education in Harvard University, has been considered to be an important guiding theory in educational reformation in many western countries. Gardener thought that the human intelligence is multiple, and it contains a group of capabilities instead of one. He also pointed out that there may be nine relative independent capabilities containing: Language Intelligence, Logic intelligence, Vision Intelligence, Physical Intelligence, Melody Intelligence, Communication Intelligence, Self-cognition Intelligence, Observation Intelligence and Existence Intelligence. Each kind of intelligence has unique characters and more stress on practical capacity and all can be influenced by environment and education. The theory changes the focus from intelligence quotient to intelligence category and is taken as the basis of effectual students` evaluation and exploitation of a person's intelligence advantages which is ignored in the traditional education. It also enlightens people as to the multiple of intelligence in procedure of students` evaluation and breaks through the traditional barrier to evaluate students on all sides.Taking the comparison of theory of multiple intelligences and traditional intelligence as the baseline, combining with the feature of the current vocational school students` evaluation procedure, this article is to pose a vocational school students` evaluation system based on the theory of multiple intelligences, in which students` proficiency situation in knowledge and skill and the method and the procedure of comprehensive ability improvement both are discussed. First, in knowledge mastering evaluation, it stresses developing education, multi-subjects evaluation and everyday assessment. Second, in the evaluation of proficiency situation in skill, it applies action-sample evaluation, working place-watching evaluation, achievement evaluation and improves professional qualified certification to evaluate students` general capacity. Third it proposes to integrate different method such as watching and visiting evaluation method, investigating evaluation method and so on, to evaluate the students` comprehensive ability. Last but not least, the creative point of this article is the"Profession Potential Statistics Table"which made by the author can help teachers and parents give useful suggestion to new students in choosing proper majors future development according to their own characteristics.The vocational school students evaluation system which guided by the theory of multiple intelligences has broken through the traditional evaluation system and is bursting out vitality and vigor. It attributes to the all-sides development of students and created a new education theory---everybody can be useful through education---which has not only created a develop space for students but also offered more beneficial space for the development and reformation of education.
