| With the development of reformation of college English, Listening lead a main role in learning college English, and it also became a important part of English test. It is said definitely that the aim of English teaching is develop the students'ability, especially the ability of listening and spoken English in The request of college English curriculum 2004. From February 2005,to ministry of education announced that the reformation of CET4 and CET6 had began. The listening of the reformation is the focal point. The proportion of listening in CET4 has raised to 35% from the formal one(20%). There are four sections of listening: short conversation, long conversation, passage and compound listening.Firstly the writer analyzed the change of the form of the listening test, and then analyze the listening of CET4 in the term of linguistic from the two aspect of the essence of listening and the test of the listening, use literature review theory, questionnaire survey theory, analyze of logic theory, contrast research theory and so on to contrast between the traditional CET4 and the new one.The research shows that The listening of new CTE4 not only can reflect the essence characteristic of listening of English and also can test the real listening level of the students scientifically. There are differences between the traditional and the new listening of CTE4 in terms of type and the difficulty. But the undergraduates can fit the new one primitively. When refer to the listening class of college, it requires change from the reading and the writing to communicative courses, and emphasis on the communicative, comprehensive of the exercise of the listening of English to culture the communicative ability of the undergraduates. |
