Research On The References Of Modern National Vocality To Drama

Modern national vocality is a new artistic form developed from bel camto in western countries. In 50 years odd period, it developed a lot in, including the way of singing performance, form of representation, vocal music education and vocal music thinking. However, it is worthy to be noted that the overstressing on regulation of articulation attributed to the scarcity of personal attractiveness. On the basic of such situation, the author makes a thoughtful thinking on this problem and holds that modern national vocality could take a good use of traditional Chinese drama. Based on the preparatory research and analysis, the author hopes to pan out excellent and advantageous factors in order to ease the current situation in modern national vocality tentatively. And it is also hoped that the research could provide the learners and singers of national vocality with some constructive support on fully recognizing the charm of traditional Chinese drama, grasping the performing techniques and essences, broadening the singing techniques and thus laying a solid theoretical foundation on the diversity and nationality of modern national vocality.This thesis is consisted of five chapters. In the first two chapters, the definition, evolution and the current situation of modern national vocality are provided and the relationship between modern national vocality and traditional Chinese drama are expounded. In the third and fourth chapters, the problem of how modern national vocality use traditional Chinese drama for reference in melodies, performing techniques, singing techniques and performing art is expounded, and some examples as evidences are combined for analysis. In the fifth chapter, it is argued that we should appropriately address to the dialectic relationship betweentradition and modernity and between scientific measures and folk styles in order to make a good combination of modern national vocality and traditional Chinese drama. At last, the tentative future of modern folk vocal music is depicted.
