Comparative Study Between Classical Realistic Painting And Contemporary Realistic Painting

Through the study of Western realism painting,this paper attempts to retrospect the history of realism painting development from the classical to the contemporary.And this paper use the comparison between the representatives of classical realist painting artist Ingres and the representatives of contemporary realist painting artist Lucian Freud to find the different between classical realism painting and contemporary realism painting.In the argument,this paper from several aspects to find the different source between classical realism painting and contemporary realism painting,for instance:art form,language, aesthetic,spirit of painter and so on.This paper also combined with painting technique characteristics,image,comparative study,history,psychology to depth demonstrate the art of Ingres and Lucian Freud,therefore reveals contemporary influence,significance and the difference in the essence between classical realism painting and contemporary realism painting.This paper also hopes to through the research of two artist's realistic painting style,to contribute some reference and guidance for the contemporary practice of realistic painting.
