Research On Yu Xuanji's Poems

Yu xuanji who was very beatiful and gifted was a female writer with distinctive characteristic in the dynasty of Late-Tang, whose life full of legends and unique poems made great impression on posterity. From the background of feudal society, this paper which was based on lots of materials with the method of union of literature and history and the method of demonstration with poems and history, discussed her difficult position of marriage, explore the efforts she made to get rid of the difficulty. So we can get the multiplex ideology contained and particular art style embodied in her poems.This paper is conprised with preface and three bodies.The first explors the experience of xuanji full of tragic story. Being born with humble position, she can't held the identity of concubine, and was abandoned in Xianyi Daoist Temple. She wanted to find the new companion again and again, but plunged into distress. Her tragic story reflected the social status of women in fudal society.The second part discusses the rich ideology contained in the poems of Yu xuanji.The poem was filled with optimistic and actively consciousness. Though she suffered life tribulations, we can still felt her passion of youth and life. Her poemes was filled with forceful female ideology, which mainly embodies in lyric angle with gender characteristic, the arousal of emotions, description of her own fellings with boldness, to tell her loves and hates, the new understanding of female's value, amphasized that women should have her beauty on the basis of talent, complained that women were in a devil of hole. The female ideology embodied in the purse of happiness freely and equlity status of male and female.The third part discusses the unique characteristics of art contained in the poem of Yu xuanji. She wrote poems with the particular emotion of female. The lyric body described the living situation of itself composed the solid image of"real self"and formed the union of art image and reality image. The failure of marriage made more pain of missing and sadness in her poems, which added a layer of beauty about sadness. Influenced by the living environment of Daoist Temple, the poem of Yu xuanji embodied the idea and the beauty f Daoism. She wrote emotion and scenery vivid and subtle based on the unique observation of women. Her poem not only broke through the tranditonal convention, but also embodied the unique characteristics in the forms and types. We can see it from the creation of her poems.From the analysis above, we can find the connection of the failure of marriage and the creation of poem, and the impact of her particular experience on the creation of poem, which is helpful to understand the idea of xuanji Yu and the value of art contained in her poems.
