The Inquire And Investigation Of The Hui National Islamic Music In Hohhot

This paper proposes a framework of the music of Islam in Hohhot .To make a comprehensive survey ,the author interviewed three most influential reciters in this city, Heifuhai, Kangmingqing, and Kingjianhua, analysed the tone and the praising saint tone when reciting the Koran.Other aspects such as religion faith and customs are also considered. The aim of this reserch is to gain the panoramic view of this region by analying these cases.The author who plays the double role as'insider'and'outsider', make the discussion presented in the framework of'introduction details—conclusion'.To understand the music and culture in Hohhot better, at the beginning of this paper, the author mentions the Islam and the Moslems history in Hohehot,generally introduces the population,religious faith ,and customs .As an'insider',the author interviewed three influential reciters, Heifuhai,Kangmingqing, and Kingjieanhua, regarded their reciting tone as a case; as an'outsider',the author analysed the tone they used to recite the Koran in details, summarized and classified what had been recorded macroscopically. Finally, the author will set and express the music of Islam in Hohhot in a cultural atmosphere, and display its trend of development.
