The Description And Explanation Of Historical Evolution Of Chinese "Fall" Type Commonly Used Words

Main application of modern semantic field theory, combining with knowledge of cognitive linguistics, with the combination description and explanation,with the combination of synchronic distribution and diachronic evolation and so on,the thesis discussed the Chinese "falling" category verb semantic field and its members "Falling" semantic field was divided into the action "falling" semantic field and the metaphorical "falling" semantic field in the thesis.Linguistic materials were chosen from following four periods:Sub-Qin, Han Dynasty, from the Wei Dynasty to Northern and Southern Dynasties, from the SuiDynasty to the Five Dynasties.We tested and described the frequency of use and glosseme of various words in the "fall "semantic field, etc. Then,we surveyed and counted the semantic field and its members to sum up" falling "category historical evolution of the characteristics of commonly used words, laws and causes.
