In the new curriculum reform of basic education in China, great changes have taken place in the basic theory, materials development, teaching models and evaluation criteria. The concept of the new curriculum standards has been widely used in the music classroom from elementary school to high school. How to implement it in the high school classroom has gotten much attention. And the research on the high school musical teaching design and teaching effect must be from theory to practice. It's a necessary research on the implementation of the new curriculm concept, discovering effective and high-quality music class. Based on the aesthetic, educating people, student-centered concept of the new curriculm, the high school music class is very attactive to the students. The new situation of the reform has been steadily improved.This paper researches on the changes and effect of teaching design in high school music class. It pays special attention on the teaching effect, school investment, leading role of teachers, Student Orientation and also teacher quality after the teaching design curriculum reform. Based on that, it explains the necessity, significance, scientificity of High School Musical instructional design then gives research examples for the future high school music teachers.We take the Affiliated High School of Renmin University as a case, then research on the Teaching Design, school support, ideas between teacher and student, learning methods, learning motivation after the reform. We do the research according to questionnaire, interview, and contrastive study. It can improve the teaching standards and the high school music teaching quality.1. The introduction part discusses the background, significance, and research status and research method under the new concept. Then it summarizes the music teaching design method and the relationship between the design and curriculum revolution.2. The main part investigates the changes of high school music teaching design at the Affiliated Middle School of Renmin University after the curriculum. It also trys to find out the influencing factors and the strategies of improving the teaching skills of the school. 3. The last part elaborates the effects after the curriculum reform of high school music class.
