| It was not a coincidence for the growing up of Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese feminine literature in late 70s,20th century. The peaceful environment and highly developed economy and world far-reaching feminine movements in these two countries provide the good foundation for the development of this literature. Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese feminine literature is keen on portraying the good aspects of traditional Chinese culture, which shows the highly affective commitment to the traditional Chinese culture and highly identity commitment to the countries they are living in.This writing is in agreement with the narrative changes in the works "imaging China" of these early travel-to-Taiwan female writers and new century women writers. The developmental traces are:from the writing full of Chinese images to the works gradually without Chinese feeling then to the works of"imaging China"again, in which the new race conciousness and identity commitment are depicted. Through this development, the writing of female image and destiny also has changed which can be seen from the works of different-era writers such as Shan Wanyun and Li Zishu. In addition, influenced by Chinese traditions and their professions and gender, female writers of Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese literature write in their works the three contraditions of feminine conciousness, race conciousness and servility conciousness. |
