Study On The Musical Quality Of Kandinsky's Painting

Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian painter, is the founder of the Modern Abstract Art in theory and in practice. And he is recognized as the originator of abstract painting. This paper will cast back the development path of painting artistic practice by Kandinsky, at the same time analysis different periods of his artworks and the Painting Art Theory. By this analysis to illustrate the performance of his paintings in musical and spiritual, to get the practical guiding significance by exploring and studying of his art practice and art theory on modern painting art, then gain new ideas and new inspiration of artistic creation.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part(Introduction)will point out the view, describe the general content and focus to pave the way for the body text. The third part (chapter two) research Kandinsky's theory and it's impacted from the formation of several painters and philosophical thoughts, then point out that their theories made a great effect on Kandinsky's performance style. The fourth part (chapter three) by analyzing the performance of musical and spiritual in various periods, demonstrate that the musical and spiritual is the most concrete expression of the views which the"inner need"and"hidden structure"of Kandinsky's theory. The fifth part(Conclusion) is a summary of the previous section, this part affirm the importance of Kandinsky's performance for the musical and spiritual in painting, as well as the inspiration for the modern art.
