As an advanced modern management methodology, MRPII has been widely adopted overseas, and has been proven very effective, but it's implementations in Chinese enterprises has yet a low success rate. As China enters the WTO, there is stronger need for Chinese enterprises to gain competitive advantages through MIS implementation.In this thesis, the current situation, as well as some existing problems of MRPII/ERP application in China are analyzed. Through examining the development and implementation process of HY Company's MIS system project, which was coordinated by this author, the key factors affecting MRPII implementation and operation are analyzed and studied. Solutions on implementation strategies and procedures for Chinese manufacturing enterprises are also proposed based on management and system implementation experiences of some successful Japanese and Chinese enterprises. This thesis may serve as a reference to enterprise managers and IT company system implementation consultants.
