Study On Industrial Engineering Body Of Knowledge

Since Industrial Engineering (IE) was brought in China, this discipline has been studied widely and deeply. This approach has also obtained application to some extent. Under such situation, what we should do is to establish a comprehensive theoretical system of IE, considering the discipline development and practical application. This is why we establish the China Industrial Engineering Body of Knowledge(IEBOK). This IEBOK is discussed on the base of studying the status of the correlative theories of IE in many other countries.The main contents and innovation in this paper are listed as follows:1. The IEBOK has been established from layers of stratagem, operation method, knowledge and application. Each layer has also been studied in detail.2. The theory of Project Management (PM) is brought in IEBOK as one of IEBOK's theoretical foundations and one of operation methods of IE application.3. The IE application model based PM is brought forward in this paper at the end of which the model is inspected through a case of iron and steel enterprise A putting IE in practice.
