The construction project of IT system is a mode of production of involving a wide range of knowledge, the technological degree of difficulty is great, need to invest the resources, such as a large amount of manpower, financial resources, material resources, time, etc. The problem of management of the construction project of IT system is not a question of the technology in fact at present, but the question of scientific management. How about raise the project management level of IT system, raise the success rate of the project, offer and meet customer's IT system of demands on time, been perplexing the administrators of IT project construction enterprises all the time. Especially combination of the theory of IT system and IT project management and practical application, it was IT project construction enterprises that waited to study and crave for urgently.This text is from analyzing that the project characteristic of IT system and management mode characteristic set out, operate modern project managerial knowledge and theory, especially relevant knowledge systems, such as project time WBS in the management theory, etc., analyze characteristic and application of IT system of bureau G, then set up IT system time management of bureau G. In the judging of key route, popular task card law to judge is not be adopted, optimization network of optimization theory is introduced and adopted to judge key route, to make judging swifter and more accurate of key route. In this text, the elasticity of the time to the project of IT system of bureau G has been discussed, PERT law analyze is adopted to conclude how heavily it will be possibility that compress project cycle, and conclusion is drawn that time compress for a project is limited; Optimization theory is used to analyze how heavily can task time in key route in a project be compressed and how long can task time in non-key route be lengthen, conclusion is that we should pay attention to task in key route, more over, we should pay attention to the task of the non-key route too, otherwise there might not be anticipated result in time compressing for a project when task time of key route is compressed. In the last of this text, G-PERT theory is introduced simply, and a point is put forward thatthis theory adopted as time management in IT system project is not fit.This text focuses on the combination of theory and real, in the course of application of the project time management theory, pay attention to the actual usability of operation method, notice that replaces the traditional method of the helpful scientific method at the same time too, improve the efficiency of project time management, and there is certain reference value in practical application in the analysis elastic to time. Hope that the time management described of this text offers certain valid reference to project construction administrator of IT system in the project time management.
