Since the 1880s, social security, as the fruit of industrialization, has become an important system, which plays an important role all over the world in promoting the economy, stabilizing the social order, guaranteeing people's living standard and improving the welfare in the community. All these functions made the social security the main carrier in the stable social system and the important part of the market-oriented economy. Since the implement of the reform and opening up policy, our socialist market-oriented economy has been gradually developed and the social security system, which is called the social security network and the buffer of the social conflicts, has attracted the attention from government and various kinds of fields. We all know that the social security system is the result of social selection and any other department in the society will never replace its function. In this paper, the basic theory of social security and its present situation in our country are analyzed, the problems and solutions are proposed and the relatively sound social security system at present is described. The whole paper is divided into three parts: First part: the introduction to the theories of the social security. This part contains the sources of the theories, the development of social security system in western countries and its impact on its development in our country, the present situation in our country, and the research methods and framework of the paper. Second Part: The sample analysis of the social security system. In this part the four main types of social security, which includes old age insurance, Medicare, unemployment insurance and the absolute standard of living cost of subsistence, are illustrated by regressive analysis, predictive analysis and sample analysis. Third Part: The establishment of the social security system in our country. In this part the analysis made above is summarized to make it clear how to establish a sound social security system in our country.
