The proposition of quality-oriented education and the reform of the basic education have raised the tide of educational reform,under this background, the enormous change has taken place too in the vocational education field, with the vocational education going up and down all the while the police officer's school of the Inner Mongolia has faced a lot of opportunities and challenges and demonstrated it's own characteristic . This paper carries on research on practices of running a school in the police officer's school of the Inner Mongolia and on the preliminary discussion to the development problem in future.In this article, through making an introduction and analysing about the basic situation,characteristic of running a school crisis and problem that the police officer's school of the Inner Mongol faced , let us realize soberly: in case of the medium-sized vocational school has fell into very heavy predicament, Though the police officer's school of the Inner Mongol still presents vigorous situation that relies on its own characteristic and advantage, the situation faced allows of no optimist, the crisis is remained, the questions has came out conspicuously day by day , such as source of students,employment,management,quality of education etc., that have influenced the development and growth of the school seriously.The first and second part make analysing and re-recognization about the situation that the police officer's school of the Inner Mongol faced, the third part of this paper has done the thinking of the following questions of future development:First, change the educational idea, reform the mode of running a schoolIn face of the new challenge which is brought by socialist marketeconomy, to the special secondary school runs, change idea of running a school, run a school marketization to implement. According to the tendency about development of talent which society requires ,the mode of running a school that high vocational education and medium-sized vocational education develop simultaneously and the medium-sized education and self-study examination of junior college are merged,That academic education and policeman's on-the-job training regard as equally important has formed progressively we should set up the multi-form,multi-level,multi-specialized mechanism of running a school which adapt the need of building modernized civilization prison and talent that the legal construction requires, thus to stress the characteristic of the school,do " the professional characteristic " well,train " student's specialty ",capture" the unique human resources pool ",expand the channel of running a school and strengthen strength and vigor of running a school.Second, adapt to era development, renew the train objectiveThe training objective of Police officer's vocational education should adapt the modern society′s request about specialization,intelligent,totalization of talent's job quality, accord with the demands for young student's vocational selection, it shoud train student's psychological quality that meets the jobs engaged of coming and make them demand to have realizing nature of self-value to the professional role even more. Police officer's vocational education trainning objective should reflect the new era characteristic in education, care the development of all people and pay attention to the improving in an all-round way of student's viability; Emphasize people's development in an all-round way and sustainable development, train students' sustainable study motive force; Pay attention to people's personality development and cultivation of innovative ability, train students' innovative thinking,psychology of daring to innovate,indomitable innovative will and innovative operation ability and manipulativeability .Third, adapt to the social demand, improve student's qualityAdvance the reform of course actively and try the elastic length of schooling taking the credit system as the core, in order to set up flexible teaching and roll management system progressively,and improve teaching quality.
