A Study Of Chinese Government's Public Crisis Management Of Natural Disaster

With the frequent occurrence of worldwide public crisis of natural disasters, people suffered a great loss of lives and property. Many countries pay more and more attention to crisis management research. How to respond to crisis of natural disasters is also a problem to our country. In order to achieve rapid economic growth, we sacrificed a lot of environment resources, destroyed lots of biologic chains. Natural disasters are exacerbated with water and soil loss and destruction of vegetation. How to deal with the increasingly natural disasters of public crisis which become a test of public dministration.This paper is divided into six parts, in the first part; I studied the background of the research and mentioned the significance of this paper, introduced the research status of public crisis management research both at home and abroad. In the second part, I firstly classified the responsibility of the government during public crisis management. Then, I introduced the way to fulfill our government's duty. In the third part, I take Wen chuan earthquake as an example, introduced our government successful experience in the disposal of natural disasters. In the fourth part, I introduced problem of our government, during disposing of natural disasters, from seven aspects. In the fifth part, I summarized the reason why our government encountered problems during the disposal of natural disaster crisis. In the sixth part, I gave some advices how to improve the government's ability to deal with the crisis of natural disaster.
