It is the aim of the United States to build a system of missile defense for a long time. From World War II to present, along with the implementation of the U.S. missile defense program, the missile defense network is also getting more established. In the Middle East, the United States and Israel, carry out actively joint development of tactical and theater missile defense technologies. Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and other countries have deployed the U.S.'Patriot' missiles. In Western Europe, the United Kingdom, North Yorkshire Dales Air Force Base, the U.S. has deployed the ballistic missile early warning radar base. It can be used for early warning service of the U.S. ballistic missile defense system. In the Asia Pacific region, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan also have set up firmly cooperation with the United States on the aspect of missile defense technical. In addition to above, The Canada has took part the missile defense system the United States, either.Missile defense as a strategic means, it influences deeply international relations. The Bush Administration planed to establish a missile defense system in Poland and Czech Republic. To this decision of the Bush Administration, the domestic experts have different views. The attitude of Czech Republic and Poland is positive, and they are really willing to sit and negotiate with the U.S. As a Eurasian power, Russia strongly opposes plan for missile defense in Eastern Europe of the U.S, saying these proposed facilities pose a threat to its security. After Obama took office, he decided to start the feasibility survey of the missile defense plan. according to the USA Quadrennial Defense Review Report, Sep 17,2009, president Obama announced to give up the missile defense system in Eastern Europe's. Untill now, the disputation over missile defense in Eastern Europe between the United States and Russia ended.This paper is divided into four chapters, The first chapter expounded the historical evolution of the U.S. missile defense system, particularly discussed the U.S. missile defense system's technical development and deployment of it during the Clinton and Bush Administration. The second chapter discussed in detail the origin of the U.S. missile defense system in Eastern Europe. And discussed the disputment that around the U.S. missile defense system in Eastern Europe between the United States and Russia. Analysised the motivation and purpose of the U.S. deployment of missile bases in Eastern Europe. Beside, analysised the attitude of Russia, Western Europe powers, such as Germany, France and Eastern Europe to the U.S. missile program's. Chapterâ…¢analyzed the impact of US-Russian relations of the U.S. missile defense plans in Eastern Europe, as well as the possible impact of European security. The fourth chapter, analyzed the likely outcome of the U.S missile defense program in Eastern Europe.
