The volleyball technologies are divided into the ball skill and no ball skill, the technical application effects of the ball skill has a more direct impact in the match. At present, Chinese women volleyball teams have their own characteristics and features on technical application, but the domestic research morely focus in high-level teams of the world while few people in the national women's volleyball teams.Therefore, by the methods of literature review, field observation, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis, the paper takes technical application with the ball as the breakthrough point, makes a technical analysis on the 24matches of 94 games in Women's Volleyball League in 2008-2009 seasons and preliminary contests of the 11th National Games, in order to explore the different effects of technology application between Shanghai Women's Volleyball team and their main opponents, the paper also promotes some feasibility for Shanghai Women's Volleyball team, preparing for the 11th National Games.The main results following:1. From the point of serve, Shanghai women's volleyball team not shows no obvious advantage with the other five, but serves relatively weak attack power. From the view of Effects of serving in different position, although the Shanghai team's setter and tosser take a larger advantage, the attaquant principal's strong jump serve and the attaquant assistant's attacking power have a big gap between the rivals.2. From the point of return of service, compared with the other five teams, Shanghai women's volleyball team is effective and has a relatively high attack rates, but the failure rate is higher too. There is a big gap between Shanghai and Zhejiang while at the same level with the other teams. From the view of the receiving players of different positions, the Shanghai team's attaquant principal and the returning of serve are both in the advantages, but in the location of libero, the Shanghai team is shorter except the 6th place and the heart position.3. From the overall results of the spike, compared with the other five teams, Shanghai team has a larger advantage while at the same level of Tianjin. From the point of effects of the spike in different positions, Shanghai team attaquant principal is much better, attaquant assistant is in common, but less effective in the right lines, provided assistance to spike greater advantage.4. From the point of the block effect, compared with the other five teams, Shanghai team has an obviously advantage, the effective blocking rates are relatively high, with fewer mistakes. From the view of blocking effects of different positions, the 2nd place has the best block, the third and the fourth places show a high value of stopped death with a relatively lower loss, holding a comparative advantage.5. From the overall results of the defense perspective, compared with the other five teams, Shanghai team is in a middle level, slightly inferior to Tianjin and Sichuan, but superior to the other teams. From the view of defensive players in different positions, Shanghai team's attaquant principal is better-performing on the heart position, more mistakes happened in the other positions, attaquant assistant is less effective in defense, especially on the 6th position and the heart position. Wing spiker has a slightly advantage on the 2th place and Youyao, but bad effects on 1th and 3th; Setter has a advantage on Youyao, but has a certain gap on 2th with other main opponents; Libero is better on the 6th place, but other positions are relatively poor.
