Investigate And Analyze The Employment Status Of CUBA Man's Basketball Players In Henan Province

CUBA, the Chinese University Basketball Association, is the first college student sport league which is both college and society oriented with a socialized and industrialized operating mode, it is aimed at training and selecting high-quality and high-level talented basketball players. It was first mooted in 1996, the rules and systems were set in 1997, and formally launched in 1998, after 13 years, 12 seasons of developing, CUBA has become one of the two great basketball events of China. CUBA is an annual national traditional sport activities held by the Chinese University Basketball Association and Henghua Group, and exclusive promoted by Henghua sports (Advertising) Development Co., Ltd. With the rapid development of CUBA, the overall level of the league keep increasing year after year, and the social influence as well as the potential of development are also promising. All of these effects reflect the broad prospects of socialization, industrialization and professionalization for college sports. Fundamentally speaking, CUBA will change the situation of lack of successors of Chinese basketball, while improve the quality of national fitness and cultural level, and for sure will bridge the gap of basketball level between China and the world's best. At the very beginning of CUBA league, the goal of the league is "college basketball development, basketball player training." Thus, "people education" became the core values of CUBA League, which combine training high level basketball player and advocating education for all-round development, promoting lifelong physical exercise together; it also proposed a novel concept of modern basketball player training, that is to train high-level athletes, coaches, referees, high-quality basketball fans and related staffs which goes as "five categories of talent". As a sports culture of University, CUBA has a great influence not only on improving and perfecting the personality of youngsters, enriching the culture; but also on improving the leadership, will, team spirit, discipline, sense of competition and self-confidence of students.In recent years, with the development of market economy and the deepening of reform, basketball player training system which is set under Chinese planned economy system is facing great challenges, the foundation of the "pyramid" mode has been shaken. The disused original training mode will inevitably be replaced by a more dynamic new one. Fortunately, the successful experience of making high level college basketball teams in the past ten years seems to give us a glimmer of hope. At present, the personnel training system of CUBA league is mainly adopted the train mode which combines the school extracurricular sports management and athletic training together. The school sports management makes CUBA an amateur league, and causes the contradiction between CUBA development and long-term personnel training as well as professional development, the contradiction mainly shows in two aspects which include school system and competition system. The employment problem of CUBA athletes plays an important role when it comes to the smooth and sustainable development issues of CUBA, which includes not only the athletes working at the social enterprises, schools and other institutions of employment, but also the access of working at the professional basketball league. By analyzing the social employment situation, we know that the requirement of the overall quality has become increasingly demanding. As a CUBA athlete who only has the skill of play basketball but no certain cultural or professional skills, it is very difficult to find a long-term, stable job in this rapidly developing society. Therefore, improving the overall quality of CUBA athlete has already become a key element in increasing the employment rate and quality of CUBA athletes.This paper has applied various ways of study including document analysis, investigation and logical analysis, by studying the employment status of CUBA Basketball Players in Henan Province and the employment intentions as well as training status of active CUBA college basketball players, etc., the paper analyzes the internal and external factors which influence the employment of players. Besides, by investigating the employment opportunities of graduated players, the paper generally clarifies the origin and development of CUBA as well as the value and effects of the league, it also draws a scientific conclusion and makes proper suggestions by studying not only the employment rate, carrier choice, the relevance between profession and major of graduated basketball players, but also how the league system of CUBA and the own quality of players affect the employment of CUBA player.
