Study On The Management Of High-level Basketball Teams In Liaoning Province's Colleges And Universities

The high-level sports teams organized by colleges and universities are a combination of athletic sports and higher education, which are a trend of athletic sports development in the world today. In China colleges and universities cultivate high-level basketball players, which is to select talents for basketball, train them by higher education and become inter-disciplinary talents. Nevertheless, at present there are many problems in Liaoning colleges and universities'high-level basketball teams at the starting stage, such as the quality of student resources is not high, the contradiction between students'studies and training is remarkable, and the system of rear service is not perfect, etc. These problems restrict the development of high-level basketball teams in varying degrees. This thesis is to probe into the status quo of Liaoning colleges and universities'high-level basketball teams and make some suggestions.Based on the universities in Liaoning (Northeast University, Liaoning University, Dalian University of Technology, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Liaoning Technical University), the thesis will study the six following aspects of their basketball teams by literature research, questionnaire survey and interviewing experts: management system, enrollment forms and student resources, training and competitio--n, coaches, fund and maintenance of facilities, basketball players'studies. The research indicates that the factors such as backwardness of management system, shortage of fund, shortage of student resources, contradiction between studies and training, levels of coaches, etc. result in the slow development of Liaoning colleges and universities' high-level basketball teams. Concerning these influencing factors, some tentative solutions are put forward:improvement of the system of management and enrollment, coaches' professional level, the quality of sports competitions; balance of the contradiction between players'studies and training; increase in sports competitions, etc.It is hoped that the thesis can provide some references for the sustainable development of Liaoning colleges and universities'high-level basketball teams.
