Study On Current Situation And Counter Measures For Higher Educational Modernization In Gansu Province

Modernization of higher education is a necessary cause of China's modernization requirements; it is the inevitable choice for China to achieve modernization. The aim of national education reform and development of long-term planning programs is to achieve the basically modernization of education, becoming learning society, becoming a powerful human resources country in 2020.Gansu province is located in the Inland Northwest, the development of socio-economic is slow, and the social modernization is low. How to achieve modernization of higher education are the important challenges and opportunities to the higher education in Gansu Province.This thesis starts from the analysis of modernization of higher education to modernization of education theory and the promotion to social-economic in Gansu province. After thorough analysis, the thesis expounds and proves the meaning of research of modernization of higher education in Gansu province. There are two meanings, one is that adds a case of research of modernization of higher education in region area, the other is a way to achieve modernization of higher education in a province where not achieve modernization of social-economic. Second, the thesis analysis the nine contents of modernization of higher education, they are the popularization of higher education, diversification of higher education, the informatization of higher education, the characteristics of higher education, higher education of lifelong, the internationalization of higher education, the democratization of higher education, the performance measurement of higher education. The thesis builds an index system of modernization of higher education in China. The thesis uses the index system to expound the current situation of modernization of higher education in Gansu province, and use the political factors, economic factors, social factors, technology factors to analyze the cause of current situation. Accordingly, the thesis gives nine following measures for the modernization of the Gansu higher education.Expand the scale of higher education; promote universal development of higher education.Promote the development of diversification of sponsoring principal and the quality standards.Improve the level of development of higher education informatization to enhance information sharing of level of higher education.
